The PR1 men's single sculls competition at the 2022 World Rowing Championships took place at the Račice regatta venue. Schedule The schedule was as follows: All times are Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) Results Heats The two fastest boats advanced directly to AB semifinals. The remaining boats were sent to the repechages. Heat 1 Heat 2 Heat 3 Repechages The three fastest boats in each repechage advanced to the AB semifinals. The remaining boats were sent to the Final C. Račice (Litoměřice District)
Račice () is a municipality and village in Litoměřice District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. It is a major Rowing (sport), rowing and canoe racing, flatwater canoeing venue. Etymology The name is derived from the personal name Radek, meaning "the village of Radek's people". It was originally written as Radčice. Geography Račice is located about southeast of Litoměřice, southeast of Ústí nad Labem and north of Prague. It lies in the Lower Ohře Table. The municipality is situated in a meander of the Elbe River on its left bank, and the river forms part of the municipal border. History The first written mention of Račice is from 1268. Erik Horrie
Erik Horrie (born 17 October 1979) is an Australian wheelchair basketball player and a five-time world champion rower. He was a member of the Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team. Switching to rowing in 2011, he made an immediate impact in the sport, first winning the NSW State Rowing Championships and then the National Rowing Championships in Adelaide. He has won silver medals at the 2012, 2016, 2020 Summer Paralympics and a bronze at the 2024 Summer Paralympics. He won gold medals at the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 World Rowing Championships. Javier Reja Muñoz (born 20 July 1974) is a Spanish Paralympic rower and former paracanoeist. He competed in paracanoe at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and rowing at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Accident In 2006, Reja was riding his motorcycle to the Seville airport, he overtook a tractor and skidded along the gravel. He bounced off and got trapped between a tree and the motorbike's engine, his leg injuries were serious and had to undergo several operations along with two months in hospital to recover. After leaving hospital, he was medically advised to swim and he went on to win medals in the Spanish national swimming championships, as well as swimming, he tried out weightlifting, triathlon and cycling and he won several national cycling medals. Andrew Francis Mangan (born 30 August 1986) is an English former footballer who played as a striker. He is now a coach at Stockport County. Career Blackpool Born in Liverpool, Mangan began his career with Blackpool at the age of 15. He was with the club for three years, scoring 49 goals in reserve and youth team football. Mangan made his professional debut at the age of 17 in a 1–0 defeat to Chesterfield on 24 April 2004. He made just one further professional appearance at Blackpool under Steve McMahon's management and his replacement, Colin Hendry, loaned Mangan to Northern Premier League Premier Division side Hyde United.
