2022 Pakistan Super League Players Draft
The players draft for the HBLPSL7, seventh season of Pakistan Super League took place on 12 December 2021 at the High Performance Centre in Lahore. Before the draft, the teams were allowed to retain a maximum of 8 players and make any transfers. The transfer and retention window closed on 10 December 2021. Background The Pakistan Cricket Board announced that Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick. The total purse for each team was capped at $1.2 million. Each team was also allowed to pick two additional players in the supplementary round. They also had the right to exercise one wildcard pick. 2022 Pakistan Super League (also known as PSL 7, or for sponsorship reasons HBL PSL 2022) was the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. Played between six teams in a double round robin format with strict COVID-19 prtocols, the league began on 27 January 2022 with first phase in Karachi. The second phase including the playoffs took place in Lahore, with the Final played on 27 February where Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 42 runs to win their maiden PSL title.
