2022 LPGA Tour
The 2022 LPGA Tour was the 73rd edition of the LPGA Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The season began at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, on January 20, and ended on November 20, at the Tiburón Golf Club in the CME Group Tour Championship at Naples, Florida. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States–based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Schedule and results The number in parentheses after each winners' name is the player's total number of wins in official money individual events on the LPGA Tour, including that event. Tournament and winner names in bold indicate LPGA majors. The schedule and purse amount for each tournament is listed on the LPGA website. Dame Lydia Ko (born 24 April 1997) is a New Zealand professional golfer, member of the LPGA Hall of Fame, and the reigning Olympic champion. She first reached number one in the Women's World Golf Rankings on 2 February 2015 at of age, making her the youngest player of either gender to be ranked No. 1 in professional golf. Ko had much success from an early age holding many youngest accolades on the LPGA Tour. Until 2017, she was the youngest ever (age 15) to win an LPGA Tour event. Portland Classic
The Standard Portland Classic is a women's professional golf tournament in Oregon on the LPGA Tour. Founded in 1972, the annual event in the Portland area is the oldest continuous event on the LPGA Tour. Tournament Golf Foundation has owned the tournament since its beginning and also managed the Safeway International tournament on the LPGA Tour. It became a 72-hole event in 2013, after decades at 54 holes. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to local children's charities; over $19 million has been donated since 1972. Nanna Koerstz Madsen
Nanna Koerstz Madsen (born 23 October 1994) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the American LPGA Tour and maintains membership of the Ladies European Tour (LET). She won the 2022 Honda LPGA Thailand and made history becoming the first Dane to win an LPGA Tour event. She played in the 2021 Solheim Cup and represented Denmark at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where she finished tied for 13th, and at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where she finished tied for 9th. Honda LPGA Thailand
The Honda LPGA Thailand is a women's professional golf tournament in Thailand on the LPGA Tour. First played in 2006 at the Amata Spring Country Club, the tournament moved to the Siam Country Club, Pattaya in 2007, on its Old Course. It was the first LPGA Tour event held in Thailand and it increased the number of countries on the 2006 LPGA schedule to eight, including the United States. The tournament was not held in 2008, but returned to the LPGA schedule in 2009. It was held at the newer Plantation Course for this year only, then returned to the Old Course in 2010. The tournament is a limited-field event with no cut; in 2011, 60 players were in the tournament (57 professionals and 3 amateurs); a full-field LPGA tournament has about 144 players. Ko Jin-young (;, born 7 July 1995), also known as Jin Young Ko, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. By age 22 years, she had won 10 times on the LPGA of Korea Tour, was second at the 2015 Ricoh Women's British Open, and had won the 2017 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. HSBC Women's World Championship
The HSBC Women's World Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour first held in 2008. It was played on the Garden Course of the Tanah Merah Country Club in eastern Singapore, adjacent to Singapore Changi Airport from 2008 to 2012. It is now played at the Sentosa Golf Club in Sentosa (Serapong Course from 2013 to 2016, Tanjong Course since 2017). In 2008 and 2009, entrance in the tournament was open to 78 of the world's top golfers, based on world rankings, recent tour wins, and other criteria. Leona Maguire (born 30 November 1994) is an Irish professional golfer. She held the record for the most weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking, and in 2022 became the first – and, to date, only – Irish woman to win on the LPGA Tour. LPGA Drive On Championship
The LPGA Drive On Championship is a series of women's professional golf tournaments on the LPGA Tour created after several tournaments were cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each tournament uses the tour's "Drive On" slogan to support the resilience of the tour. Ohio The Ohio tournament was held in July 2020 as the LPGA Tour's first tournament since the tour was halted in February 2020. The Ohio tournament was hosted at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour in Florida. It debuted in 2019 at the Four Seasons Golf & Sports Club Orlando in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The tournament field is limited to winners on LPGA Tour events in the previous two years. As is the case in the past, there is also a pro-am and celebrity tournament, like its predecessor. The top amateurs during the midweek pro-am are invited to play in the main tournament. The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally.
