2022 Georgia Southern Eagles Baseball Team
The 2022 Georgia Southern Eagles baseball team represented Georgia Southern University during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Eagles played their home games at J. I. Clements Stadium and were led by twenty-second year head coach Rodney Hennon. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. Rodney Hennon
Rodney Hennon (born November 11, 1969) is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Georgia Southern Eagles baseball team. He has held that position since the 2000 NCAA Division I baseball season, 2000 season. He played at Western Carolina Catamounts baseball, Western Carolina, where he earned All-Conference honors and helped the team to two NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, NCAA Regional appearances. He played professionally for one season with the Kentucky Rifles before turning to coaching. He served as an assistant coach at Western Carolina for four years before ascending to the top job. After two seasons, he moved to Georgia Southern. In his first two seasons with the Eagles he was named Southern Conference Baseball Coach of the Year. Rincon, Georgia
Rincon is a city in Effingham County, Georgia, United States. The 2020 population was 10,934, up from 8,836 at the 2010 census. Rincon is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Rincon, in the southeast area of Effingham County, Georgia, was incorporated as a city in 1927. While the earliest settlers came to the area in 1751, the area had little development until the late 19th century. During the American Civil War, when forces of the Union Army penetrated the South, thousands of slaves escaped from plantations to go to their lines. Grovetown is a city in Columbia County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Augusta metropolitan area and the Central Savannah River Area. The 2019 population estimate was 15,152. Suwanee is a city in Gwinnett County and a northeastern suburb of Atlanta in the U.S. state of Georgia. Tucker is a city located in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States, located near Atlanta and was originally settled in the 1820s, and later developed as a railroad community in 1892.
