2022 European Wrestling Championships
The 2022 European Wrestling Championships was held from 28 March to 3 April 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. Belarusian and Russian wrestlers did not compete at the event after a ban as a result of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian invasion of Ukraine. Helary Mägisalu (born 19 July 1997) is an Estonian wrestler. He was born in Pärnu. In 2016 he graduated from Audentes Sports Gymnasium. He started his wrestling exercising in 2005, coached by Karl Pajumäe. In 2018 he won a silver medal at the European Championships. He is 6-times (2016–2021) Estonian champion. Erik Torba (born 1 February 1996) is a Hungarian Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a silver medalist at the European Games and a bronze medalist at the European Wrestling Championships. Career Torba competed in the men's 59 kg event at the 2017 European Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia and the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in Paris, France. At the beginning of 2018, United World Wrestling implemented changes to the weight classes used in wrestling and in that year he began competing in the 60 kg and 63 kg weight classes. He competed in the men's 60 kg event both at the 2018 European Wrestling Championships in Kaspiysk, Russia and the 2018 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Career In 2024, Arnăut won one of the bronze medals in the 60kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. He competed at the 2024 European Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan hoping to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. He was eliminated in his first match and he did not qualify for the Olympics.
