2022 City Of Jesolo Trophy
The 2022 City of Jesolo Trophy was the 13th annual ''Trofeo di Jesolo'' gymnastics competition held in Jesolo, Italy. Both senior and junior gymnasts were invited to compete. The previous two iterations of the competition were canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Giorgia Villa
Giorgia Villa (born 23 February 2003) is an Italian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the historic team that won bronze at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart, and was part of the gold-winning team at both the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the 2022 European Championships. Individually, she is the 2018, 2020, and 2021 Italian national champion, the 2018 Youth Olympic champion, and the 2018 European junior all-around and beam champion. Tiana Sumanasekera (born September 15, 2007) is an American artistic gymnast and a member of the United States women's national artistic gymnastics team. She is the 2023 Pan American all-around and balance beam champion. Early life Sumanasekera was born to Rajitha and Ruwangi Sumanasekera in 2007. She started gymnastics in 2013. She is of Sri Lankan descent. Sumanasekera is believed to be the first gymnast of Sri Lankan descent to represent the U.S. in international competition. Madray Emmanuelle Johnson (born July 16, 2007) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 Junior Pan American Games champion on uneven bars and balance beam and is the 2022 U.S. junior national champion. Ioana Andreea Stănciulescu (born 18 February 2004) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. She competed as a junior from 2017 to 2019. Stănciulescu won the floor exercise at the 2018 European Championships. She was the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival team and floor exercise silver medalist and uneven bars bronze medalist. In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. The balance beam is a rectangular artistic gymnastics apparatus and an event performed using the apparatus. Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply referred to as "beam". The uneven bars or asymmetric bars is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood coating, or less commonly wood. The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus which gymnasts perform on, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is VT.
