2021–22 Seton Hall Pirates Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team represented Seton Hall University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by 12th-year head coach Kevin Willard. The Pirates played their home games at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, New Jersey as members of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 21–11, 11–8 in Big East play to finish a tie for fifth place. Kevin Willard
Kevin Schreiber Willard (born April 6, 1975) is an American college basketball coach and the incoming men's basketball head coach at Villanova University. Willard played basketball at Western Kentucky during the 1992–93 season before transferring to Pittsburgh to finish his playing career. Willard's father, Ralph Willard, was the associate head coach at Louisville and a former head men's basketball coach at Western Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Holy Cross. Kevin Willard started his coaching career in the NBA ranks, working on the bench with coach Rick Pitino of the Boston Celtics. After Pitino resigned from the Celtics in 2001, Willard followed him to Louisville, and spent the next six years there as his assistant. The Saint Peter's Peacocks men's basketball team is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program that represents Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey. Alexander "Sandro" Mamukelashvili ( ka, ალექსანდრე "სანდრო" მამუკელაშვილი; born 23 May 1999) is a Georgian-American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2021 Big East men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big East Conference. It was held from March 10 through March 13, 2021, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Georgetown received the conference's bid to the 2021 NCAA tournament.
