The 2021–22 season was the 117th season in the existence of AJ Auxerre and the club's 10th consecutive season in the second division of French football. Gauthier Hein
Gauthier Hein (born 7 August 1996) is a French professional footballer who plays as a right winger for Ligue 2 club Metz. Career Hein began playing football with the youth academy of Thionville at the age of 4. He joined the youth academy of Metz at the age of 12, and worked his way up their youth teams and reserves. On 23 May 2019, he signed his first professional contract with Metz, keeping him at the club until 2019. He signed on loan with Tours for the 2017–18 season. He then returned to Metz for the 2018–19 season, extending his contract by one more season until 2020. For the 2019–20 season, he joined Valenciennes on loan. Paul Joly (born 7 June 2000) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Auxerre. Career A youth product of Muides, Blois Football 41, and Lorient before joining the reserves Amiens in 2018. He signed his first professional contract with Auxerre on 18 October 2020. Lassine Sinayoko (born 8 December 1999) is a Malian professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Auxerre and the Mali national team. Club career Sinayoko started playing for Auxerre's reserve side in 2017. On 29 June 2019, he signed his first professional contract with the club. Hamza Sakhi (born 7 June 1996) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays for Botola club Wydad AC as an attacking midfielder. Club career Having initially joined AJ Auxerre from Metz on loan, Auxerre confirmed they had signed Sakhi on a permanent deal on 16 April 2018. Birama Touré (born 6 June 1992) is a Malian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for club Montpellier.
