2021 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2021 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (''2021 WJHC'') was the 45th edition of the IIHF World Junior Championship, Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, held from 25 December 2020 to 5 January 2021. This marked the 16th time that Canada hosted the WJIHC. Rogers Place
Rogers Place is a multi-use indoor arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Construction started in March 2014, and the building officially opened on September 8, 2016. The arena has a seating capacity of 18,347 as a ice hockey, hockey venue and 20,734 as a concert venue. It replaced Northlands Coliseum (opened 1974) as the home of the National Hockey League, NHL's Edmonton Oilers and the Western Hockey League, WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings. The 1995 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (''1995 WJHC'') was the 19th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship and was hosted in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada with games held throughout central Alberta. The host Canadians won their third straight gold medal, and its eighth overall, while Russia won silver, and Sweden the bronze. Albin Grewe (born 22 March 2001) is a Swedish professional ice hockey right winger currently playing with Djurgårdens IF in the Swedish Hockey League. He was selected 66th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Grewe began his youth and professional career playing for Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). William Wallinder (born 28 July 2002) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). Jan Tomas Montén (born 2 November 1977) is a Swedish professional ice hockey coach. He was formerly the head coach for Sweden men's national junior ice hockey team.
