2021 Tour De Hongrie
The 2021 Tour de Hongrie was the 42nd edition of the Tour de Hongrie, which took place between 12 and 16 May 2021. It was the seventh edition since the race's revival in 2015, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour. Teams Eight UCI WorldTeams, nine UCI ProTeams, four UCI Continental teams, and the Hungarian national team made up the twenty-two teams that participated in the race. With five riders each, and are the only teams to not field a maximum roster of six riders. There were 130 riders who started the race, of which 117 finished. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Kaposvár
Kaposvár (; also known by alternative names) is a city with county rights in southwestern Hungary, south of Lake Balaton. It is one of the leading cities of Transdanubia, the capital of Somogy County, and the seat of the Kaposvár District and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kaposvár. Kékes
Kékes is Hungary's highest mountain, at above sea level in the Mátra mountain range. It is Hungary's third most popular tourist attraction, after Lake Balaton and the Danube, and has a number of skiing pistes. The Kékestető TV Tower stands at the summit. Kékestető is a resort place surrounding the summit, and is part of the town of Gyöngyös in Heves county. It is 18 km away from the town center. As of the 2022 census, it has a population of 14. Gyöngyös
Gyöngyös is a town in Heves County, Hungary, beside of the Gyöngyös creek, under the Mátra mountain ranges. As of 2022 census, it has a population of 27,957 (see Demographics). The town is located 8.4 km from the M3 motorway and 80.8 km from Budapest. Gyöngyös is terminus of the (Nr. 85) Vámosgyörk–Gyöngyös railway line and the main road 3 lead across the town. Gyöngyös have a train station and a stop on the standard-gauge railway line and two narrow-gauge railways also start from here to the mountains for tourist purposes. History The settlement got its name from the stream that crosses the town, which may refer to the mistletoe that often occurs on the waterfront, or to the ''pearly'' water. Balassagyarmat (Hungarian: ; formerly ''Balassa-Gyarmath''; ; or ) is a town in northern Hungary. It was the seat of the Nógrád County, Nógrád Comitatus (Kingdom of Hungary), comitatus. Tata (; ) is a town in Komárom-Esztergom County, northwestern Hungary, northwest of the county town Tatabánya. Veszprém (; , , , ) is one of the oldest urban areas in Hungary, and a city with county rights. It lies approximately north of the Lake Balaton. It is the administrative center of the county of the same name. Etymology The city's name derives from the West Slavic-language personal name ''Bezprem'' or '' Bezprym'' (Proto-Slavic ''Bezprěmъ'') which translates literally to "stubborn", "self-confident, not willing to retreat".
