2021 FilBasket Subic Championship
The FilBasket Subic Championship, also known as the FilBasket Subic Championship – Cocolife due to sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural tournament under FilBasket, now known as AsiaBasket. It was also the only tournament held in 2021. The tournament began on October 28, 2021, with the playoffs running from November 16 to 21, 2021. The entire tournament took place at the Subic Bay Gymnasium, located in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The tournament was won by AICC Manila after defeating the San Juan Knights, two games to one, with Hesed Gabo winning Finals MVP honors. Subic 2021 is also the only FilBasket / AsiaBasket tournament that is not under professional status, but that in itself has been disputed before and in the months after the tournament began by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB). San Juan Knights
The San Juan Kings, previously known as the San Juan Knights, are a professional basketball team representing San Juan, Metro Manila. They played in the Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA) from 1999 to 2001, the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) since 2018, the Filbasket since 2021, and the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) since 2022. They also participated in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3. The team has been enjoying considerable success, winning the MBA National Championship in 2000 and the MBA first phase conference in 2001, as well as the MPBL National Championship in 2019. Simon David R. Camacho (born 1995/1996) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Mon Alvin T. Abundo (born October 29, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player for Quezon Huskers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was Blackwater’s seventh round pick (51st overall) in the 2015 PBA draft, making him one of the lowest-drafted players ever to make it to the PBA. College career In 2011, Abundo transferred from Philippine Women's University to Centro Escolar University.
