2021 Asian Men's Club League Handball Championship
The 2021 Asian Club League Handball Championship was 23rd edition of the championship held from 12 to 21 June 2021 at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation (AHF). It was the third time in history that the championship was organised by the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation. It also acted as the qualification tournament for the 2021 IHF Men's Super Globe, with top team from the championship directly qualifying for the event to be held also in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Duhail SC (handball), Al-Duhail SC won the final 27–24 against Kuwait SC (handball), Al-Kuwait SC for their second Asian Club League title. Draw The draw ceremony took place on 2 May 2021 at the King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at 10:30 hrs. (local time). Al Duhail SC (handball)
Al Duhail Handball Team (), formerly Lekhwiya, is the handball team of Al-Duhail SC, based in the capital city of Doha, Qatar. It currently competes in the Qatar Handball League (QHL) and was founded in 2013. It plays its home games at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium. History The idea to form Lekhwiya's handball division began in April 2012 when the Qatar Handball Federation wanted to increase the number of teams participating in the league. Lekhwiya were presented with an opportunity to form a handball team and participate in the first division, and the president of the club, Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani, Abdullah Al Thani, accepted. Jabbes Ibrahim was selected as the first coach of the team. In April 2017, the club took over El Jaish SC (handball), El Jaish SC and rebranded the club into Al-Duhail SC.
