2020–21 Reading F.C. Women Season
The 2020–21 Reading F.C. Women season was the club's 14th season and their sixth in the FA Women's Super League, the highest level of the Women's football in England#Pyramid, football pyramid. Reading finished the season in 7th place, were knocked out of the FA Women's Cup, FA Cup in the fourth round and finished second in their FA Women's League Cup, League Cup group. Season events On 15 July, Reading announced the signing of Danielle Carter (footballer), Danielle Carter and Emma Mukandi, Emma Mitchell from Arsenal W.F.C., Arsenal. On 17 July, Reading announced the signing of Deanna Cooper, who last played for Chelsea F.C. Women, Chelsea. On the same day, Reading announced new contracts for Natasha Harding, Kiera Skeels and Lily Woodham. Deanna Rose Cooper (born 20 June 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Women's Championship club Newcastle United. She previously played for Gillingham, Brighton & Hove Albion, London Bees, Chelsea and Reading. Football career London Bees Cooper played for London Bees during the 2016 FA WSL season. Silvana Flores Dorrell (born 18 April 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Born in Canada, she represents Mexico at international level. Jeon Ga-eul (, or ; born 14 September 1988) is a retired South Korean footballer. She was the first South Korean to play in the US National Women's Soccer League, and the Australian W-League. She has won numerous domestic league titles, individual MVP titles and international competitions, being the leading scorer in the national team side that won the Women's gold medal in football at the 2009 Summer Universiade. Erin Nicole Nayler (born 17 April 1992) is a New Zealand professional association football goalkeeper, who played for Bayern Munich of the German Frauen-Bundesliga. She has represented New Zealand at international level. Early life Nayler started playing as a goalkeeper at the age of 10.
