2020 Central Pulse Season
The 2020 Central Pulse season saw the Central Pulse netball team compete in the 2020 ANZ Premiership season, 2020 ANZ Premiership. As part of their pre-season preparations, Pulse competed in the 2019 Netball New Zealand Super Club, finishing the tournament in third place. With a team coached by Yvette McCausland-Durie, captained by Katrina Rore and featuring Karin Burger, Aliyah Dunn and Ameliaranne Ekenasio, Pulse finished the regular ANZ Premiership season as minor premiers. In the grand final, Pulse defeated Mainland Tactix 43–31, winning their second consecutive premiership. Yvette McCausland-Durie
Yvette McCausland-Durie is a netball in New Zealand, New Zealand netball coach and former netball player. As a player, she played for Western Flyers during the National Bank Cup era and represented New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand at under-21 level. She was a member of the New Zealand team that won the World Youth Netball Championships, 1992 World Youth Netball Championships. As a head coach, McCausland-Durie guided Central Pulse to the 2019 ANZ Premiership season, 2019 and 2020 ANZ Premiership season, 2020 ANZ Premierships and the 2018 Netball New Zealand Super Club, 2018 Super Club title. She has also worked with the senior New Zealand team as an assistant coach and with the under-21 team as a head coach. Maddy Gordon
Maddy Gordon (born 16 January 2000) is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2021 Constellation Cup and the 2022 Taini Jamison Trophy Series. She also represented New Zealand at the 2023 Netball World Cup. Gordon was also a prominent member of the Central Pulse teams that won the 2019, 2020 and 2022 ANZ Premiership titles. Early life, family and education Gordon was born and bred in Whangārei. She is the daughter of Carolyn and David Gordon. She stayed in Whangārei until she was 16. She subsequently attended Mount Albert Grammar School, where she excelled at netball, volleyball, athletics, cross-country and swimming. Trafalgar Centre
The Trafalgar Centre is a multipurpose events centre located in Nelson, New Zealand. The stadium was built in 1972 and opened in 1973. The main stadium holds up to 2,460 people. It can be used as two tennis courts or four basketball courts. Tenants The Nelson Giants use the Trafalgar Centre for their home games. The stadium is nicknamed 'The Hangar' by loyal Giants fans. WDF World Cup In 1981, the WDF World Cup was held at Trafalgar Centre. It was only the third ever WDF World Cup and the only one ever to be held in New Zealand. England won the overall event. Saviour Tui
Saviour Tui (born 17 October 2001) is a netball player who has represented both Samoa and New Zealand at international level. Tui was a member of three title winning teams in New Zealand's National Netball League. In 2018 and 2019, Tui won titles with Central Zone/Central Manawa. In 2021 she won a third title with Northern Marvels. She was also a member of the Central Pulse team that won the 2018 Netball New Zealand Super Club tournament. She was a fringe member of the 2021 Northern Mystics team that were ANZ Premiership champions. Since 2024, she has played for Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in the ANZ Premiership. Bailey Mes
Bailey Mes (born 27 May 1989) is an Auckland born New Zealand netball player. She can play at goal shoot, goal attack, and wing attack. She currently plays for the Waikato/BOP Magic in the ANZ Premiership. In 2012, she was selected into the Silver Ferns and made her debut in the Quad Series that year, against South Africa. She was a shock selection after playing only one quarter in the 2012 ANZ season, and was picked based on a strong trial, and her natural athleticism and fitness. Grace Nweke
Grace Nweke (born February 7, 2002) is a List of New Zealand international netball players, New Zealand netball international. She first competed for New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand in September 2021. Early life Grace Nweke was born in Auckland on 7 February 2002, to parents who emigrated to New Zealand from Nigeria. She has a twin brother and four other siblings. Her parents initially left Nigeria to go to South Korea, before settling in Auckland in the 1990s. She attended ACG Sunderland School and College, ACG Sunderland from years 9 to 10 then transferred to Avondale College. At Avondale College she competed in high jump events as well as netball. Netball Superleague
The Netball Super League is an elite netball league in the United Kingdom. The league is organised by England Netball but features teams based in Netball in England, England, Netball in Wales, Wales and previously Netball in Scotland, Scotland. Wasps Netball
Wasps Netball were an English netball team based at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry, Warwickshire. Wasps Netball was formed in 2016 as a partnership with the Premiership Rugby team, Wasps RFC. Since 2017 their senior team has played in the Netball Superleague. They were Superleague champions in 2017 and 2018. Collingwood Magpies (netball)
The Collingwood Magpies were an Australian professional netball team in Melbourne that competed in the premier domestic league, Suncorp Super Netball. The team was founded in 2016, during the disbanding of the ANZ Championship. The Magpies were owned by the professional Australian Football League entity, the Collingwood Football Club. The team's home games were predominantly played at John Cain Arena. Vicki Wilson
Vicki Wilson, , (born 11 February 1965 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian netball coach and retired international player. She is the current head coach of the Netball Fiji side. Vicki Wilson is also an executive with the Brisbane Broncos. Netball career Wilson was a part of the Australian national netball team for fifteen years, making her debut in 1985. Wilson became captain of the Australian netball team in 1996, while on the comeback trail from a knee injury sustained at the 1995 Netball World Championships.
