2020 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship
The 2020 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the second staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 57th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. The championship was scheduled to begin in May 2020, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. The championship eventually began on 19 October 2020 and, after being suspended once again, ended on 10 July 2021. Tipperary entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Cork in the Munster final. Kerry fielded a team in the Munster Championship for the first time since 2005. On 10 July 2021, Cork won the championship following a 2-19 to 1-18 defeat of Dublin in the All-Ireland final at UPMC Nowlan Park. Conor O'Callaghan (hurler)
Conor O'Callaghan (born 2000) is an Irish hurler who plays for Duhallow Junior Championship club Dromtarriffe and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right corner-back. Playing career Dromtarriffe O'Callaghan joined the Dromtarriffe club at a young age and represented Keale Gaels, an amalgamation of Dromtarriffe and Millstreet, in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 18 August 2017, O'Callaghan was at left corner-back for the Dromtarriffe junior football team faced St. Kevin's in the final of the Cork Under-21 C Championship. Dromtarriffe secured the title following a 1-14 to 2-08 victory. On 16 September 2018, O'Callaghan was at centre-back when the Dromtarriffe junior hurling team faced Newmarket in the final of the Duhallow Junior Championship. 2008 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2008 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 45th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship since its esablishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship ran from 28 May to 14 September 2008. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final. The All-Ireland final was played on 14 September 2008 at Croke Park in Dublin between Kilkenny and Tipperary in what was their ninth meeting in the final overall and a first meeting in the final in two years. Kilkenny won the match by 2-13 to 0-15 to claim their 11th championship title overall and a first title in two years. This win completed a Grand Slam of hurling titles for Kilkenny in 2008. The 2011 Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-21 Championship is the 48th staging of the All-Ireland Championship since its inception in 1964. Games were played between 1 June and 10 September 2011. Galway won the title after a 3–14 to 1–10 win against Dublin. The 2018 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 55th and last staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 7 May 2018 and ended on 26 August 2018. Limerick were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 26 August 2018, Tipperary won the championship following a 3-13 to 1-16 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 10th All-Ireland title overall and their first in eight championship seasons. The 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 53rd staging of the All-Ireland inter-county championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 25 May 2016 and ended on 10 September 2016. Limerick entered the championship as the defending champions. They were beaten by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final.
