''2020'' is the fourth studio album by Dutch hard rock band Vandenberg, released on 29 May 2020 by Mascot Records. It's the first Vandenberg studio album since Alibi in 1985. Vandenberg (band)
Vandenberg () is a Dutch–American hard rock band from Amsterdam and Los Angeles, formed in 1981. The group is named after guitarist Adriaan "Adje" van den Berg (a.k.a. Adrian Vandenberg). Career In 1981, Van den Berg hired Bert Heerink (vocals), Dick Kemper (bass), and Jos Zoomer (drums), and formed the group Vandenberg. They recorded a demo that came to the notice of journalist Kees Baars. He offered to manage the group and contracted them to Atlantic Records. Their first album, '' Vandenberg'', was recorded at former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page's studio, Sol Studios, and in 1983, their first single, "Burning Heart", reached No. 39 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 record chart. Vandenberg toured the U.S. as the opening act for Ozzy Osbourne and KISS, and then independently in Japan in 1984. Jacobus Johannes "Jaap" Eggermont (born 31 October 1946, The Hague) is a Dutch record producer, best known for his Stars on 45 project. Eggermont's first job in the musical profession was from 1965 until 1969 as the drummer of the band Golden Earrings. Alibi (Vandenberg Album)
''Alibi'' is the third studio album by Dutch hard rock band Vandenberg, released on 29 August 1985 by Atco Records. This was Vandenberg's final studio album for 35 years until their reunion in 2020. Background It was recorded in the Netherlands; a first for a Vandenberg album. Following the previous album, Adrian Vandenberg painted cover art, and in 2007, 75 artwork graphs were released in commemoration of Adrian's individual painting exhibition, Stuck Between Rock and an Art Place, in Antwerp. Bert Heerink has since emphasized vocals in ''Alibi'' regarding the production of the record: "The two early albums say that for me, the production of the opening of the song seems to be emphasized." Adriaan van den Berg (born 31 January 1954), known as Adrian "Adje" Vandenberg, is a Dutch rock guitarist, best known for his tenure as one of the guitarists in Whitesnake during their successful late 1980s period and the band Vandenberg which he started in 1981. Rodolfo Maximiliano Sarzo Lavieille Grande Ruiz Payret y Chaumont (born November 18, 1950) is a Cuban-American musician. He remains best known as the bassist for Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, and Whitesnake, and has also played with several well known heavy metal and hard rock acts including Manic Eden, Dio, Blue Öyster Cult, Geoff Tate's Queensrÿche, Devil City Angels, and the Guess Who. Brian Tichy ( ; born August 18, 1968) is an American musician, best known as having been the drummer for Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Sass Jordan, and Ozzy Osbourne.
