2019–20 USC Upstate Spartans Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 USC Upstate Spartans men's basketball team represented the University of South Carolina Upstate in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Spartans, led by second-year head coach Dave Dickerson, played their home games at the G. B. Hodge Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 13–20, 7–11 in Big South play, to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. They defeated High Point in the first round of the Big South tournament before losing the quarterfinals to Winthrop. TD Arena
TD Arena is a 5,100 seat multi-purpose arena in Charleston, South Carolina, United States that opened in 2008 and replaced John Kresse Arena as the home of the College of Charleston Cougars basketball and volleyball teams. The South Financial Group of Greenville purchased the naming rights to the new facility and it opened in 2008 under the Carolina First Arena name. 2019–20 Charleston Cougars Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Charleston Cougars men's basketball team represented the College of Charleston during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cougars, led by fifth-year head coach Earl Grant, played their home games at the TD Arena in Charleston, South Carolina as members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). In a season limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cougars finished the season 9–10, 6–4 CAA play, to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament to Drexel. Following the season, head coach Grant was hired as the new coach at Boston College. Shortly thereafter, the school named Winthrop coach Pat Kelsey the team's new head coach.
