2019–20 Super 6
The 2019–20 Super 6 (also known as the ''Fosroc Super 6'' for sponsorship reasons) is the inaugural season of a semi-professional rugby union competition for Scotland's club sides. The six teams are competing in the Super 6 this season are Ayrshire Bulls, Boroughmuir Bears, Heriot's Rugby, Stirling County, Watsonians and Southern Knights. Competition format ; League Stage All sides will play each other home and away. ; League Play-Offs The 1st placed team in the league stage then plays the 4th best team in that stage. The 2nd placed team in the league stage plays the 3rd best team in that stage. The 5th placed team in the league plays the 6th best team in that stage at home. ; Final The winners of the 1st-4th match will play the winners of the 2nd-3rd match to determine the winners of the Super 6 tournament and the runners-up. Hollie Davidson
Hollie Davidson is a professional rugby union referee who is contracted with the Scottish Rugby Union. Playing career Davidson began playing competitive rugby when she was 14. She played at scrum-half for Murrayfield Wanderers, one of the most successful women's rugby union teams in Scotland. During her time there she was known as the speed bump. However a shoulder injury put paid to her playing career. At Edinburgh University she played for the women's rugby side winning the BUCS final. Davidson played for Scotland U20's for 2 seasons from 2010-12 One week before she was due to receive a senior cap she dislocated her shoulder. Bridgehaugh Park
Bridgehaugh Park is a rugby union ground in Stirling, Scotland, with a capacity of approximately 4,000. It is the home of Stirling County RFC, who currently play in the Scottish Premiership. Location It is situated in a meander of the River Forth in the north of the city of Stirling. Andrew Davidson (born 7 November 1996) is a Scottish rugby union player at the Lock position. He currently plays for Gloucester having previously played for Glasgow Warriors, London Scottish, Newcastle Falcons and Edinburgh Rugby. Davidson was a product of the Scottish Rugby Academy. Rory Hughes (born 4 March 1993) is a Scottish rugby union player who recently played for Glasgow Warriors at the Wing or Full-back positions. Rugby union career Amateur career Hughes was born in Glasgow and was raised in the Castlemilk district; he attended a school with no rugby programme. Try (rugby)
A try is a way of scoring points in rugby union and rugby league football. A try is scored by grounding the ball in the opposition's in-goal area (on or behind the goal line). Rugby union and league differ slightly in defining "grounding the ball" and the "in-goal" area. In rugby union a try is worth 5 points, in rugby league a try is worth 4 points. The term "try" comes from "try at goal", signifying that grounding the ball originally only gave the attacking team the opportunity to try to score with a kick at goal.
