The 2019–20 season was SC Freiburg's 121st season in existence and the club's fourth consecutive season in the top flight of German football. SC Freiburg
Sport-Club Freiburg e.V., commonly known as SC Freiburg () or just Freiburg, is a German football club, based in the city of Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg. It plays in the Bundesliga, having been promoted as champions from the 2. Bundesliga in 2016. Between 1954 and 2021, Freiburg's stadium was the Dreisamstadion. The club moved to the newly built Europa-Park Stadion in 2021. Volker Finke, who was the club's manager between 1991 and 2007, was the longest-serving manager in the history of professional football in Germany. Jonathan Schmid (born 22 June 1990) is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or right back for Bundesliga club SC Freiburg. Mark Flekken (born 13 June 1993) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bundesliga club SC Freiburg and the Netherlands national team. Robin Koch (; born 17 July 1996) is a German professional footballer who plays as a defender for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, on loan from club Leeds United, and the Germany national team. Brandon Joel Gaetano Borrello (born 25 July 1995) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a right winger for A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers. Yoric Ravet (born 12 September 1989) is a French professional footballer who plays as a winger for French amateur club ES Manival.
