2019–20 SBV Vitesse Season
The 2019–20 season was SBV Vitesse's 127th season in existence and the club's 30th consecutive season in the top flight of Football in the Netherlands, Dutch football. In addition to the 2019–20 Eredivisie, domestic league, SBV Vitesse participated in this season's edition of the 2019–20 KNVB Cup, KNVB Cup. The season covered the period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020. SBV Vitesse Arnhem (''Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse Arnhem, Eng: Professional Football Foundation Vitesse Arnhem''), widely known as Vitesse () or internationally known as Vitesse Arnhem, is a Dutch professional association football, football club located in the municipality of Arnhem. Established on 14 May 1892, they currently play in the Eerste Divisie following relegation from the 2023–24 Eredivisie. Since 1998, the club has played its home games at the GelreDome. Vitesse had its most successful period in the 1990s. Their best result in the Eredivisie was third place in 1997–98. They won the KNVB Cup in 2016–17 KNVB Cup, 2017 and also reached the final in 1912, 1927, 1990 and 2021. Jay-Roy Grot
Jay-Roy Jornell Grot (born 13 March 1998) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a striker or right winger for Nordicbet Liga club Odense BK. He also played for Netherlands U21s. Career NEC Grot played in Vitesse 1892's youth and then ESA Rijkerswoerd and at ten he was scouted by NEC and joined their academy. After 7 years in the academy Grot joined the NEC first team during the winter period of the 2014–15 season. In the summer of 2015, Grot signed a 3-year professional deal at the club. He made his Eredivisie debut for NEC on 12 August 2015 in a 1–0 victory against Excelsior. On 26 November 2016, Grot scored his first goals for NEC, scoring a brace in the home 3–2 victory against FC Twente.
