2019–20 Neftçi PFK Season
The Neftchi Baku 2019–20 season was Neftchi Baku's 28th Azerbaijan Premier League season. Neftchi will compete Azerbaijan Premier League and in the Azerbaijan Cup and Europa League. Season Events At the end of the previous season, Petru Racu, Goran Paracki and Mahammad Mirzabeyov were all released by the club. On 1 June, Salahat Aghayev signed a new two-year contract with Neftçi. On 4 June, Neftçi announced their first signing of the summer, Vojislav Stanković signing a two-year contract on a free transfer from Gabala. On 10 June, Neftçi released Ruslan Abışov from his contract by mutual consent, and announced the signing of Rauf Aliyev on a one-year contract from Gabala. On 12 June, Neftçi released Gianluca Sansone from his contract by mutual consent. On 14 June, Dário returned to Neftçi, signing a two-year contract from Daegu. Neftçi PFK
Neftçi Professional Football Club ( az, Neftçi Peşəkar Futbol Klubu), commonly known as Neftçi PFK or simply Neftçi (), is an Azerbaijani football club based in the capital, Baku, that currently plays in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the highest tier of Azerbaijan football. The club was founded in 18 March 1937 and played under the name of Neftyanik until 1968. Since then he has been competing under the name of Neftçi. Neftçi played for a total of 27 seasons in the Top Division of Soviet football. The main achievement of that period is the bronze medals of the USSR Championship won in 1966. Neftçi has won nine Azerbaijan Premier League titles, six Azerbaijan Cups and two Azerbaijan Supercup titles. Vojislav Stanković (Serbian Cyrillic: Војислав Станковић; born 22 September 1987) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays for Azerbaijani club Neftçi Baku. He can operate as either a left or central defender. Wilde-Donald Guerrier (born 31 March 1989) is a Haitian professional footballer who played as a left winger or left-back for Azerbaijan Premier League club Zira and the Haiti national team. Kwame Amponsah Karikari (born 21 January 1992) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Indian Super League club Chennaiyin.
