2019–20 ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The 2019–20 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating was a series of senior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union that were held from October 2019 through December 2019. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points based on their placements at each event and the top six in each discipline qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final in Turin, Italy. The corresponding series for junior-level skaters was the 2019–20 ISU Junior Grand Prix. As part of a new ISU deal, the 2019–20 Grand Prix series was streamed live on YouTube with geographical restrictions. The ISU had always streamed the Junior Grand Prix internationally without restrictions. Competitions The series included the following events. The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Summary Competitions Currently, the sanctioned competitions for the Grand Prix are: * Skate America. Nam Nguyen (born May 20, 1998) is a Canadian retired competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 World Junior champion, 2019 Skate Canada silver medallist, and two-time Canadian national champion (2015, 2019). He has placed as high as fifth at the World Championships, in 2015. Personal life Nam Nguyen was born May 20, 1998, in Ottawa. Both of his parents are from Vietnam — his father, Sony, moved to Canada in 1988 and sponsored his wife, Thu, in 1994. Nicolas Nadeau
Nicolas Nadeau (born September 30, 1997) is a retired Canadian competitive figure skater. Competing in pair skating with girlfriend Emmanuelle Proft, they are the 2023 CS Autumn Classic International bronze medallists. Nadeau previously competed as a singles skater, enjoying notable success at the junior level, where he won the silver medal at the 2016 World Junior Championships. Keegan Messing (born January 23, 1992) is a Canadian-American retired figure skater. Representing Canada, he has competed at two Winter Olympic Games in 2018 and 2022. He has also appeared at three World Championships, placing as high as sixth. Brendan Kerry
Brendan Kerry (born 18 November 1994) is an Australian figure skater. He is the 2017 CS Ondrej Nepela Trophy bronze medalist, the 2017 CS Lombardia Trophy bronze medalist, the 2019 Toruń Cup champion, the 2016 Egna Spring Trophy champion, and an eight-time Australian national champion (2011, 2013–2019). Kerry has competed in the final segment at fifteen ISU Championships, achieving his highest placement, sixth, at the 2022 Four Continents.
