2019–20 AFC Wimbledon Season
The 2019–20 season was the fourth in League One, the third tier of the English football league system, for AFC Wimbledon since their promotion in 2016 from League Two. Along with competing in League One, the Kingston upon Thames-based club participated in three cup competitions, the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy, failing to progress past the first stage of any of them. AFC Wimbledon
AFC Wimbledon is an English professional association football club based in Wimbledon, London, Wimbledon, London Borough of Merton, London. The team competes in , the third tier of the English football league system. The club was founded in 2002 by former supporters of Wimbledon F.C. after the Football Association allowed that club to Relocation of Wimbledon F.C. to Milton Keynes, relocate to Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, about north of Wimbledon. EFL League One
The English Football League One, known as Sky Bet League One for sponsorship reasons, or simply League One, is a professional association football league in England. EFL League One is the second-highest division of the English Football League and the third tier overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League and the EFL Championship. It is contested by 24 clubs. Introduced in the 2004–05 English football season as Football League One, it is a rebrand of the former Football League Second Division. Scott Wagstaff
Scott Andrew Wagstaff (born 31 March 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Tonbridge Angels where he holds the role of caretaker manager. Early life Wagstaff was born in Maidstone, and attended Bennett Memorial Diocesan School in Tunbridge Wells. Career Charlton Athletic Wagstaff joined Charlton Athletic at the age of 8 after being spotted at a Charlton Athletic Community course. . Terell Thomas
Terell Mondasia Thomas (born 18 October 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for side Carlisle United. Born in England, he plays for the Saint Lucia national team. Thomas started at Arsenal before signing his first professional contract in June 2015 with Charlton Athletic. He went on to enjoy two loan spells at National League side Woking. William John Robert Nightingale (born 2 August 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or right-back for side Ross County, on loan from club AFC Wimbledon. Career Nightingale was born in Wandsworth, Greater London. He joined the AFC Wimbledon Academy at the age of nine, progressing through the ranks before making the step up to the first team at the age of 18. Rodney Troy McDonald (born 11 April 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Notts County. Career Stoke City McDonald joined Stoke City's academy from Manchester City's academy in 2005. He became a regular in the club's youth and reserves side but was released in the summer of 2010. In October 2009 he joined Nantwich Town on loan to gain some first team experience. Luke Marcus O'Neill (born 20 August 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right back for club Ebbsfleet United. He graduated from the Leicester City youth academy. He has represented England at under-17 level. Nathan Wallace Newman Trott (born 21 November 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Danish Superliga club Copenhagen. Born in Bermuda, he has represented both Bermuda and England at youth international level.
