Unto Wiitala
Unto Mauri Wiitala (5 July 1925 – 16 January 2019) was a Finnish professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. Born in Kuolemajärvi, Finland, he played for Hämeenlinnan Tarmo before working as a referee and hockey executive. He competed at the 1952 Winter Olympics with Team Finland and five Ice Hockey World Championships. Wiitala was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1985 and became the first Finnish referee inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame. The Finnish Liiga honored him by naming their best referee during the regular season award in his name. Career Wiitala began his professional career playing for Karhu-Kissat in 1946. In 1952, he was selected to represent Finland at the 1952 Winter Olympics where they placed fifth. His career ended with him being awarded the best goalkeeper award three times by 1956. Eyvind Wichmann
Eyvind Hugo Wichmann (May 30, 1928 – February 16, 2019) was an American theoretical physicist. Life Wichmann studied in Finland (Institute of Technology, Helsinki, diploma 1950) and finished his master studies 1953 at the Columbia University, following that with his PhD 1956. From 1955 to 1957 he was at the Institute for Advanced Study. In 1957 he became assistant professor and 1967 professor for physics at the University of California, Berkeley. Emeritus since 1993. His research covers quantum field theory and quantum electrodynamics (both concrete problems of particle physics as well as axiomatic quantum field theory, in which he, in 1975, made the connection to the Tomita–Takesaki theory). Olli Lindholm
Olli Lindholm (19 March 1964 – 12 February 2019) was a Finnish singer and guitarist. He was the lead singer of the renowned Finnish band Yö since the early 1980s with a string of hits and albums. In addition, he worked on a solo basis with his own four albums released on various labels including ''Maailma on kaunis'' in 2010 that peaked at number one on The Official Finnish Chart ''Suomen virallinen lista''. Career Olli Lindholm was a founding member of the Finnish rock band Yö. The band was formed in 1981. During his decades long participation in Yö, members of the band had drastically changed, as he was eventually the only original member left. Lindholm's career in music had started from punk rock at the age of 16. He participated in multiple bands during the early years of his career.
