2019 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships
The 2019 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 21st such series of tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2020 competition. Championship (Top Division) The Top Division tournament was played in Espoo, Finland, from 4 to 14 April 2019, and for the first time had ten nations participating. 2018 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships
The 2018 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 20th such series of tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2019 competition. For the 2018 program, there was no relegations, only promotions, to raise the total at the top level up to ten nations. 2020 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II
The 2020 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II was scheduled to be two international ice hockey tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation, but only one tournament was played. The Division II Group A tournament would have been played in Granada, Spain, from 29 March to 4 April 2020. On 2 March 2020, this tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Division II Group B tournament was played in Akureyri, Iceland, from 23 to 29 February 2020. Australia won the Division II Group B tournament and were originally promoted, while Ukraine were relegated. However, that promotion was rescinded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
