2019 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Men's Soccer Team
The 2019 Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's soccer team represented Wake Forest University during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It was the 73rd season of the university fielding a program. It was the program's fifth season with Bobby Muuss as head coach. The Demon Deacons played their home matches at Spry Stadium. Background The 2018 Wake Forest men's soccer team finished the season with a 18–3–0 overall record and a 7–1–0 ACC record. The Demon Deacons were seeded first–overall in the 2018 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament, where they defeated NC State in the Quarterfinals, but lost to eventual champions Louisville in the Semifinals. Bobby Muuss
Bobby Muuss is an American college soccer coach, currently serving as head coach of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's soccer team. Career He played college soccer at Southern Connecticut State. He was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, helping UConn win the 2000 NCAA Championship. After being an assistant coach at Wake Forest from 2001 to 2006, Muuss was hired to be the head coach at Denver in January 2007. Mount Airy is a town in Carroll and Frederick counties in the U.S. state of Maryland. It is part of both the Washington Metropolitan Area and Baltimore Metropolitan Area. Chattanooga Football Club is an American professional soccer team based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. Founded in 2009, the team began play in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) in Spring 2020. Omar Hernandez Chavarria (born May 4, 2001) is an American college soccer player who currently plays for Wake Forest University. He had previously played for the academy teams of Chattanooga FC and Atlanta United FC. Hernandez was the 2019 recipient of Gatorade Player of the Year award for boys' soccer. The award is a nationally recognized honor given to the best high school athlete in the United States. Calvin Harris (born 20 March 2000) is an English professional footballer player who plays as a winger or forward for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids.
