2019 National Pro Fastpitch Season
The 2019 National Pro Fastpitch season was the 16th season of professional softball under the name National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) for the only professional women's softball league in the United States. From 1997 to 2002, NPF operated under the names Women's Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL). Each year, the playoff teams battle for the Cowles Cup. North Mankato, Minnesota
North Mankato ( ) is a city in Nicollet and Blue Earth Counties, Minnesota, United States. The population was 14,275 at the 2020 census. Lauren Elizabeth Lappin (born June 26, 1984) is an American former collegiate All-American and medal-winning 2008 Olympic Games, Olympian, professional All-Star softball player and current assistant coach for Arizona Wildcats softball, Arizona. She played college softball at Stanford Cardinal softball, Stanford and led them to a semifinal finish at the 2004 Women's College World Series. She later represented the United States women's national softball team at the 2008 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal. Marion Stadium (formerly known as Rent One Park and Mtn. Dew Stadium) is a stadium in Marion, Illinois, that was completed in 2007. It is primarily used for baseball and was previously the home of the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League from 2007 to 2021 before being purchased by the Thrillville Thrillbillies of the Prospect League in 2023.
