The 2019 Mid-American Conference football season was the 74th season for the Mid-American Conference (MAC). and is part of the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season will begin on August 29 and will end on November 30. The entire schedule was released on February 20, 2019. The NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A, is the highest level of college football in the United States. Tom Arth
Thomas Edward Arth (born May 11, 1981) is an American football coach and former player who is the quarterbacks coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). Arth previously served as the head football coach at John Carroll University from 2013 to 2016, the University of Tennessee Chattanooga from 2017 to 2018, and the University of Akron from 2019 to 2021. Playing career Arth attended Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland. In 1998, he took the reins as the starting quarterback for the perennial national power and led the Wildcats to the Division I state semifinals, where they lost to defending national champion and eventual state champion Canton McKinley High School. Over the course of the 1998 season, Arth threw for over 2,100 yards and 24 touchdowns. Thomas Hammock
Thomas Hammock (born July 7, 1981) is the head football coach at Northern Illinois University (NIU). Prior to returning to his alma mater in January 2019, he served as the running backs coach for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons from 2014 to 2018. Biography A native of Jersey City, New Jersey, Hammock was born on July 7, 1981. James Frank McElwain (born March 1, 1962) is a former American football coach. He was the head football coach at Central Michigan University, a position he held from 2019 to 2024. He announced his retirement at the end of the 2024 season and remained at CMU within the athletics department. John Bonamego
John Frank Bonamego (born August 14, 1963) is an American football coach who serves as a special teams assistant for the Tennessee Volunteers. He recently served as a senior coaching assistant for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He has two decades of college and pro coaching experience. He played college football at Central Michigan and also was head coach of the team from 2015 to 2018. Bonamego has also coached for Maine, Lehigh and Army at the college level. Scot Loeffler (born November 1, 1974) is an American college football coach and former player who is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Bowling Green State University.
