2019 DTM Zolder Round
The 2019 DTM Zolder round is a motor racing event for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters held between 18 and 19 May 2019. The event, part of the 33rd season of the DTM, was held at the Circuit Zolder in Belgium. Results Race 1 Qualifying – Car #99 sent to the rear of field having made illegal modifications under Parc Fermé conditions. Race – Drivers did not complete 75% of the race distance, and therefore are not classified as finishers in the official results. Heusden-Zolder
Heusden-Zolder (; li, Heuze-Zolder ) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg near Hasselt. On 1 January 2006 Heusden-Zolder had a total population of 30,769. The total area is 53.23 km² which gives a population density of 578 inhabitants per km². Heusden-Zolder was the result of the merger on 1 January 1977 of the two former municipalities of Heusden and Zolder, and currently consists of the former Heusden parishes of Heusden centre, Berkenbos and Eversel, and the former Zolder parishes of Zolder centre, Boekt, Viversel, Bolderberg and Lindeman. Heusden-Zolder is home to almost 2,000 immigrants from all over the world. This is due to the (now closed) coal mine of Zolder. Robin Frijns
Robin Frijns (born 7 August 1991) is a Dutch motor racing driver. He is the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion, and the first driver to have won the series in his debut season since Robert Kubica in 2005. Frijns is currently competing in Formula E driving for Team ABT and in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Team WRT. Frijns achieved his first Formula E podium finish in his second outing in the category, and claimed his maiden victory at the 2019 Paris E-Prix. The Aston Martin Vantage DTM is a " Class 1" touring car constructed by the British car manufacturer Aston Martin for use in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. The Vantage DTM was the first Aston Martin DTM car since its entry to the sport from the 2019 season with the joint-development by HWA. Aston Martin Vantage DTM made DTM début ahead of 2019 DTM season under Class 1 regulations. Development HWA AG began development, design and construction of the Vantage DTM chassis in October 2018. R-Motorsport is a Swiss motor racing team founded in 2015. The team race Aston Martins as they are affiliated with the dealership in Sankt Gallen; the only one in Switzerland. W Racing Team (WRT) is a Belgian auto racing team founded in 2009 by engineer and former head of Volkswagen Motorsport René Verbist, racing driver Vincent Vosse, and entrepreneur Yves Weerts. Racing Bart Mampaey (formerly Juma Racing) is a racing team based in Mechelen, Belgium that runs the BMW Team RBM operation in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Previously the team had been racing in the European Touring Car Championship and World Touring Car Championship.
