2019 Clemson Tigers Football Team
The 2019 Clemson Tigers football team represented Clemson University during the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers were led by head coach Dabo Swinney, in his 11th full year. The Tigers competed as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina. William Christopher "Dabo" Swinney (; born November 20, 1969) is an American college football coach, currently serving as the head football coach at Clemson Tigers football, Clemson University. Swinney took over as head coach of the Clemson Tigers football, Clemson Tigers seven games into the 2008 Clemson Tigers football team, 2008 season, following the resignation of Tommy Bowden. Frank Howard Field at Memorial Stadium, known as "Death Valley", is an outdoor stadium on the campus of Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. Tanner Muse (born September 6, 1996) is an American professional football linebacker. He played college football at Clemson and was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. Early life Muse grew up in Belmont, North Carolina and attended South Point High School, where he played center field on the baseball team and running back, safety, and long snapper on the football team. Isaiah Simmons (born July 26, 1998) is an American professional football linebacker for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). Tremayne Anchrum Jr. (born June 24, 1998) is an American professional football guard. He played college football for the Clemson Tigers, and has previously played in the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams, with whom he won Super Bowl LVI. Tamaurice William "Tee" Higgins (born January 18, 1999) is an American professional football wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL).
