2019 Africa U-23 Cup Of Nations
The 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations was the third edition of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international age-restricted association football, football championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the men's under-23 national teams of Africa. It was hosted by Egypt between 8 and 22 November 2019. The tournament was initially scheduled to take place in Zambia, but they withdrew from hosting in July 2017. Egypt was announced as the new host nation of the tournament by CAF on 23 September 2017. Same as previous editions, the tournament served as African qualifying for the Football at the Summer Olympics, Olympic football tournament, with the top three teams of the tournament qualifying for the Football at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, 2020 Summer Olympic men's football tournament in Japan. Mostafa Mohamed Ahmed Abdallah (; born 28 November 1997) is an Egyptian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Striker (association football), striker for club FC Nantes, Nantes and the Egypt national football team, Egypt national team. South Africa National Under-23 Football Team
The South Africa national under-23 football team is a youth football team, which represents South Africa and is controlled by the South African Football Association, the governing body for football in South Africa. The team's main objectives are to qualify and play at the All-Africa Games and Olympic Games. The team has played at three All-Africa Games and one Olympic tournament. Players who are selected, will be 23 or younger in the following Olympic year. With the next Olympics being held in London in 2012, players need to have been born on or after 1 January 1989. At the Olympic finals tournament, the team may be supplemented with 3 over-age players. History The team was started in 1994, when SAFA decided to form a youth team. Montaza Palace () (Asr el Montaza) is a palace, museum and extensive gardens in the Montaza district of Alexandria, Egypt. It was built on a low plateau east of central Alexandria overlooking a beach on the Mediterranean Sea.
