The 2019 1. deild kvinnur (also known as ''Betri deildin kvinnur'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 35th season of women's league football in the Faroe Islands. Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag (women)
KÍ Klaksvík Kvinnur is the women's football team of KÍ Klaksvík, a Faroese football club, based in Klaksvík and founded in 1904. The club plays in blue and white. Their stadium, Djúpumýra, has a capacity of 3,000. The women's team was created in 1985. It is the reigning champion of the 1. deild kvinnur and the most successful in the Faroe Islands. They have won the 1. deild for a record-breaking past 17 seasons. Since the UEFA Women's Cup began in 2001, they were the only women's team to have represented the Faroe Islands in Europe until 2018, and the only team to have participated in every UEFA competition from the inaugural 2001–02 edition to date. Streymnes
Streymnes ( da, Strømnæs) is a village on the eastern coast of the Faroese island of Streymoy in Sunda Municipality. The 2015 population was 270. Its postal code is FO 435. It is near the site of a former Norwegian whaling station active from 1893 to 1927. Streymnes is the northern half of a twin-village situated on both sides of the valley. The villages are divided by the river Stórá. The southern half which is approximately the same size is called Hvalvík. Together the two villages have a population of more than 400 inhabitants. Hvalvík-Streymnes is a village that has grown rapidly during the past years, mainly because of its proximity to the capital Tórshavn. Klaksvík
Klaksvík is the second largest town of the Faroe Islands behind Tórshavn. The town is located on Borðoy, which is one of the northernmost islands (the Norðoyar). It is the administrative centre of Klaksvík municipality. History The first settlement at Klaksvík dates back to Viking times, but it was not until the 20th century that the district merged to form a large, modern Faroese town that became a cultural and commercial centre for the Northern Isles and the Faroe Islands as a whole. Norðragøta
Norðragøta, also just referred to as Gøta is a village on Eysturoy, Faroe Islands. Overview The municipality of Gøta (''Gøtu kommuna'') was a municipality until 1 January 2009 when it merged with Leirvík into Eysturkommuna. Gøta consists also of the villages Gøtueiði, Gøtugjógv and Syðrugøta. The village lies on Eysturoy's east coast at the bottom of the inlet Gøtuvík.
