2018–19 Saint Joseph's Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Saint Joseph's Hawks basketball team represented Saint Joseph's University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hawks were led by 24th-year head coach Phil Martelli, and played their home games at Hagan Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished the season 14–19 overall, 6–12 in A-10 play to finish in a tie for tenth place. As the No. 10 seed in the A-10 tournament, they advanced to the quarterfinals, where they lost to Davidson. On March 19, 2019, Phil Martelli was fired after 24 seasons as the head coach. He ended his tenure at Saint Joseph's with a 444–328 record. Shortly thereafter, the school hired Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Billy Lange as head coach. Phil Martelli
Philip Martelli Sr. (born August 31, 1954) is an American college basketball coach, who was recently the associate head coach for the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball, Michigan Wolverines. As the former head coach of the Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball, St. Joseph's Hawks, he led Saint Joseph's to seven NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA Tournaments and six National Invitation Tournament appearances in 24 seasons as head coach. Early life Martelli was born on August 31, 1954, in Media, Pennsylvania. He attended high school at St. Joseph's Preparatory School, St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, graduating in 1972. He played basketball on the 1970-71 team that won the Catholic League title under coach Edward Burke (basketball), Eddie Burke. Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens Men's Basketball
The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. The school's team was first fielded on the 1905–06 season, and currently competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) since 2001. Home games are played at the Acierno Arena at the Bob Carpenter Center. Delaware has appeared six times in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, most recently in 2022. Ryan Patrick Daly (born January 6, 1998) is an American basketball player who last played for the Agua Caliente Clippers of the NBA G League.
