2018–19 FC Akhmat Grozny Season
The 2018–19 FC Akhmat Grozny season was the tenth successive season that the club will play in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Russia, and their second as Akhmat Grozny. Akhmat Grozny finished the season in 8th place, whilst also reaching the Round of 16 in the Russian Cup, where they were defeated by Arsenal Tula. Season review On 2 September, Lediakhov resigned as manager, with Ruslan İdiqov being appointed as the caretaker manager. On 5 September, Akhmat Grozny announced the return of Rashid Rakhimov as manager. On 19 May, Andrei Semyonov signed a new contract with Akhmat Grozny, keeping him at the club until 2022. FC Akhmat Grozny
Republican Football Club Akhmat (; ), commonly known as Akhmat Grozny, and formerly as Terek Grozny from 1958 to 2017, is a Russian professional Association football, football club based in Grozny that plays in the Russian Premier League. History The club was founded in 1946, as ''Dynamo''; it changed its name in 1948 to ''Neftyanik'' and in 1958 to ''Terek''. On 7 June 2017, the team was renamed ''Akhmat'', after Akhmad Kadyrov, former Head of the Chechen Republic, President of the Chechen Republic. In the 1990s the club was disbanded for some time due to the First Chechen War, war in Chechnya. Football Club Kairat () is a professional football club based in Almaty, which plays in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football. Founded in 1954 as Lokomotiv Alma-Ata, they became Urozhay in 1955 and Kairat in 1956. The club's home ground is the Central Stadium which has a capacity of 23,804 seats. The club's home kit colours are yellow and black striped shirts, black shorts and black socks. FC Spartak Vladikavkaz () was a Russian football club based in Vladikavkaz (formerly Ordzhonikidze), North Ossetia–Alania.
