2018–19 Al Ahly SC Season
The 2018–19 Al Ahly season was the 111th season in the football club's history and 60th consecutive and overall season in the top flight of Egyptian football, the Egyptian Premier League. In addition to the domestic league, Al Ahly also competed in this season's editions of the domestic cup, the Egypt Cup, the Egyptian Super Cup, the first-tier African cup, the CAF Champions League, and the first-tier Arab cup, the Arab Club Champions Cup. The season covered a period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019; however Al Ahly played their first match of the season in March 2018 and played their last match in September 2019. Walid Azaro
Walid Azaro ( ar, وليد أزارو; born 11 June 1995) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Ajman and the Moroccan national team. After beginning his career in his home country, he joined Al Ahly in 2017 and finished as the Egyptian Premier League's top goalscorer in his first season. He made his international debut for Morocco in 2017. Club career Azaro was born in Aït Melloul. He started his career with Adrar Souss in the third division of the Moroccan league. The Arab Club Champions Cup ( ar, كأس العرب للأندية الأبطال, french: Ligue des Champions Arabe) is an annual regional club football competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) and contested by elite clubs from the Arab world. The Egyptian Premier League ( ar, الدوري المصري الممتاز), also known as WE Egyptian Premier League (WE EPL) after the addition of title sponsor WE, is a professional association football league in Egypt and the top level of the Egyptian football league system. The Egyptian football league system refers to the hierarchically interconnected league system (league pyramid) for association football in Egypt. All divisions are bound together by the principle of promotion and relegation. The system consists of just four levels with the top level being the only professional league and the only one that contains one division. Below this, the semi-professional and amateur levels have progressively more parallel divisions, which each cover progressively smaller geographic areas.
