2018 Serbian Local Elections
A small number of cities and municipalities in Serbia held local elections in 2018. These were not part of the country's regular cycle of local elections but instead took place in certain jurisdictions where either the local government had fallen or the last local elections for four-year terms had taken place in 2014. All local elections in Serbia in 2018 were held under proportional representation. Mayors were not directly elected but were instead chosen by elected members of the local assemblies. Parties were required to cross a five per cent electoral threshold (of all votes, not only of valid votes), although this requirement was waived for parties representing national minority communities. Milan Krkobabić
Milan Krkobabić ( sr-cyr, Милан Кркобабић; born 12 October 1952) is a Serbian politician serving as minister of rural welfare since 2020. A member of the Krkobabić political family, he is the current leader of the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS). Additionally, he served as minister without portfolio from 2016 to 2020. Krkobabić has been a member of the National Assembly since 2022, a role which he previously held from 2012 to 2016 and briefly in 2020. The People's Party ( sr-cyrl, Народна странка, Narodna stranka, Narodna) is a centre-right political party in Serbia. History After his unsuccessful bid in an attempt to replace Ban Ki-Moon as UN Secretary-General in the end of 2016, Vuk Jeremić returned to Serbia, where he enjoyed relatively high approval ratings compared to other opposition politicians. He decided to run for president in 2017 presidential election, declining the option to support Saša Janković, who by then managed to gather a number of parties' support. The People's Freedom Movement (, NSP) is a national-conservative political party in Serbia. It is led by Miroslav Parović. Dragan Jovanović (Serbian Politician, Born 1972)
Dragan Jovanović ( sr-cyr, Драган Јовановић; born 5 March 1972) is a Serbian politician who was the mayor of Topola from 2004 to 2014 and is now serving his fifth term in Serbia's national assembly. A prominent member of New Serbia (NS) for many years, he founded Better Serbia (BS) in 2017 and was its leader until 2023, when it merged into the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Aranđelovac ( sr-cyr, Аранђеловац, ) is a town and a municipality located in the Šumadija District of central Serbia. , the municipality has a population of 46,225 inhabitants, while the town has 24,797 inhabitants. 2022 Serbian General Election
General elections were held in Serbia on 3 April 2022 to elect both the President of Serbia, president and Member of parliament, members of the National Assembly (Serbia), National Assembly.
