2018 Overton's 225
The 2018 Overton's 225 was the 11th stock car race of the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season and the 10th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, June 29, 2018, in Joliet, Illinois at Chicagoland Speedway, a permanent D-shaped oval. The race took the scheduled 150 laps to complete. At race's end, a hard-charging Brett Moffitt, driving for Hattori Racing Enterprises would pass the fuel-ailing John Hunter Nemechek of NEMCO Motorsports on the final lap to take Moffitt's 4th career win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and his 3rd of the season. Brett B. Moffitt (born August 7, 1992) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 25 Ford Mustang for AM Racing. Benjamin J. Rhodes (born February 21, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 99 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing. He is the 2021 Truck Series champion. Before moving up to the Truck Series, Rhodes competed full-time in what is now the ARCA Menards Series East, where he drove for Turner Scott Motorsports and won the 2014 series championship. Cody Coughlin (born December 11, 1995) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 72 Ford Fusion, and part-time in the ARCA/CRA Super Series and CARS Pro Late Model Tour, driving the No. 1 Toyota/ Chevrolet, both for his family team, Coughlin Brothers Racing. Route 66 Raceway
Route 66 Raceway is a motorsports facility located in Joliet, Illinois, United States, which consists of a dragstrip and a dirt oval racetrack. The facility is owned and operated by NASCAR and is located adjacent to Chicagoland Speedway. History The facility was built in 1998, funded by nine local entrepreneurs headed by Indy car owner Dale Coyne. The inaugural season saw 90 days of racing activity between the two tracks. In 1999, ISC partnered with the founders of the facility when it purchased of land adjacent to the facility to build Chicagoland Speedway.
