The 2018 UCI Europe Tour was the fourteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2018 season began on 25 January 2018 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 16 October 2018 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. French rider Nacer Bouhanni (), who scored 1,124 points in the 2017 UCI Europe Tour, 2017 edition, is the defending champion from the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. Alessandro De Marchi (cyclist)
Alessandro De Marchi (born 19 May 1986) is an Italian professional road and track bicycle racer who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in San Daniele del Friuli, De Marchi has competed as a professional since the start of the 2011 season, joining the squad after a stagiaire spell with the team at the end of the 2010 season. In the 2012 Giro d'Italia, De Marchi twice featured in a breakaway, during the fifth and fourteenth stages. In the latter stage, De Marchi made it to the end of the stage with the breakaway and finished third, behind Andrey Amador and Jan Bárta; the result came on his 26th birthday. Dylan Teuns (born 1 March 1992) is a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Diest in Flemish Brabant, Teuns is based in Halen in Limburg. BMC Racing Team (2015–18) He originally joined as a stagiaire in 2014 before being announced as part of the team's line-up for the 2015 season. Michael Russell Woods (born 12 October 1986) is a Canadian professional racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . An accomplished runner as well, Woods was the first person to have both run a sub-four-minute mile and complete the Tour de France. Career Athletics career Woods' first sport was ice hockey and his childhood ambition was to play as a left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Prior to becoming a cyclist, Woods was a promising middle-distance runner, setting Canadian national junior records in the mile and 3000 metres in 2005, as well as taking the gold medal in the 1500 metres at the 2005 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships.
