2018 Europe's Strongest Man
The 2018 Europe's Strongest Man was a strongman competition that took place in Leeds, England on 7 April 2018 at the First Direct Arena. This event was part of the 2018 Giants live tour. Results of events Event 1: Max Log Lift *Notes: A number of athletes were invited to take part in this event only and therefore they did not score points. Leeds
Leeds () is a City status in the United Kingdom, city and the administrative centre of the City of Leeds district in West Yorkshire, England. Matjaz Belsak (in Slovenian Matjaž Belšak; born 23 September 1992) is a Slovenian professional strongman competitor and powerlifter. Biography Early life Matjaž Belšak was born in a village Seničica, near Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia on September 23 of 1992. Robert Oberst
Robert Oberst (born December 20, 1984) is a retired former American professional strongman competitor. He is a yearly competitor of the World's Strongest Man competition and a finalist in the 2013 and 2018 World's Strongest Man competitions ending up in 9th and 8th place respectively. He also came 8th in the 2014 Arnold Strongman Classic the heaviest and the toughest strongman competition in the world. Oberst has competed in 15 international competitions. Cheick "Iron Biby" Sanou (Cheick Ahmed al-Hassan Sanou) is a strongman from Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. He is the 2018 and 2019 World Log Lift Champion and holds the Guinness World record for most overhead presses (of a person) in one minute. Early life Cheick Sanou was born in Burkina Faso and was a large child who was bullied at school; he earned the nickname "Biby" at an early age. He had early interests in sprinting, gymnastics and basketball. At age 17 he attended the University of Moncton, in Canada and earned a Business administration degree. Edward Stephen Hall (born 15 January 1988) is an English media personality, actor, boxer, and former strongman. He won the World's Strongest Man 2017 competition. Terry Hollands (born 6 June 1979) is a British bodybuilder and the winner of the 2bros Pro Luke Sandoe Classic Beginners Class 2019 bodybuilding championships. Vytautas Lalas
Vytautas Lalas (born 21 July 1982) is a Lithuanian professional strongman the winner of the 2013 Arnold Strongman Classic and runner up of the 2012 World's Strongest Man. Strongman Lalas won the junior Lithuanian championships in 2005, and Lithuania's Strongest Man in 2010. Lalas won the Giants Live Poland event on 8 August 2010. This victory qualified Lalas for the 2010 World's Strongest Man competition in Sun City, South Africa, but he was unable to qualify for the finals. Lalas placed third in the 2011 Giants Live London event in March 2011, this placing qualified him for the 2011 World's Strongest Man contest later that year in Wingate, North Carolina.
