2018 Division 1 (Swedish Football)
The 2018 Division 1, part of the 2018 Swedish football season was the 13th season of Sweden's third-tier football league in its current format. The 2018 fixtures were released in December 2017. The season started on 7 April 2018 and ended on 10 November 2018. Teams 32 teams contest the league divided into two divisions, Norra and Södra. 28 returning from the 2017 season, two relegated from Superettan and two promoted from Division 2. The champion of each division will qualify directly for promotion to Superettan, the two runners-up has to play a play-off against the thirteenth and fourteenth team from Superettan to decide who will play in Superettan 2019. The bottom three teams in each division will qualify directly for relegation to Division 2. Division 1 (Swedish Football)
Ettan Fotboll, or simply Ettan ( en, the one), which also is its common name in everyday speech, is the third level in the Swedish football league system and consists of 32 Swedish football teams. It was formerly simply known as ''Division 1''. Division 1 was the second tier from 1987 to 1999, but was replaced by Superettan in 2000. It was reestablished for the 2006 season as the third tier below Superettan. History The old Division 1 replaced Division 2 as the second highest level in 1987 and consisted of two separate leagues with 14 teams each, Norra (Northern) and Södra (Southern), except for the 1991 and 1992 seasons which comprised 32 teams in four leagues, adding Östra (Eastern) and Västra (Western). Carlstad United BK was a Swedish football club located in Karlstad. The club, formed in 1998, last played in the third highest Swedish league, Division 1 Norra. The club was affiliated to the Värmlands Fotbollförbund. They merged with Karlstad BK after the 2019 season to form IF Karlstad Fotboll. BK Forward
Bollklubben forward, commonly known as BK forward, is a football team from Örebro, Sweden. They play in Division 1 Norra. The club plays in a small multipurpose stadium called Trängens IP. The base of the club is in the western end of downtown, whereas the city's historically main club Örebro SK play in the eastern end. The club is affiliated to the Örebro Läns Fotbollförbund. The club is well known for its youth system, having created players like Jimmy Durmaz, Jiloan Hamad and Jacob Rinne. Botkyrka Municipality ( ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, not far from the capital Stockholm. Its seat is located in the town of Tumba. The 2018 Superettan is part of the 2018 Swedish football season, and the 18th season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football division in its current format.
