Collingwood Football Club
The Collingwood Football Club, nicknamed the Magpies or colloquially the Pies, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Melbourne that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's elite competition. Gavin Brown (footballer)
Gavin Brown (born 25 September 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who represented in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1980s and 1990s. Since retiring as a player he has been an assistant coach with Collingwood, Carlton and joined North Melbourne at the end of the 2013 season. He is currently serving as a development coach at North Melbourne. Brown was a hardworking and versatile player for the Magpies throughout his career. He was also able to play as a key forward and / or a defender. Father–son Rule
The father–son rule is a rule that allows clubs preferential recruiting access to the sons of players who have made a major past contribution to the club in Australian rules football, most notably in the Australian Football League. The rule was first established in 1949, and there have been more than ten amendments, most recently the refining of the draft bidding process in 2015. Tyler Brown (born 9 December 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Son of 1994–1998 former Collingwood captain, Gavin Brown, he played for the Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup before he was drafted to Collingwood in 2017 under the father–son rule. Sandringham Dragons
The Sandringham Dragons are an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at the Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham, Victoria, representing the southern suburban area of Melbourne. The Dragons were one of the founding metropolitan clubs of the competition in 1992 as part of a plan by the Victorian State Football League to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. The club was originally named the ''Central Dragons'' and played out of Toorak Oval in Prahran, Victoria. Nathan Murphy (born 15 December 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Collingwood Magpies in the Australian Football League (AFL). In his youth, Murphy had promising cricket and football careers. He played school cricket for Brighton Grammar, state cricket for Victoria and national under-16 cricket for Australia. The Centre line refers to a set of positions on an Australian rules football field. It consists of 3 players, two on the wings (left and right), and one in the centre. Jaidyn Stephenson (born 15 January 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), having been initially drafted to the Collingwood Football Club.
