2017–18 PlusLiga
The 2017–18 PlusLiga was the 82nd season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 18th season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). PGE Skra Bełchatów won their 9th title of the Polish Champions. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Michał Żuk (volleyball)
Michał Żuk (born 2 January 2009) is a Polish-Spanish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Barcelona. Club career Early career Born in Catalonia, Spain, to Polish parents from the Zamość region, Żuk grew up in Girona, starting his career with Aqua Hotel, where he scored 27 goals in 16 games as a midfielder. This caught the eye of Spanish giants Barcelona, and he joined the Catalan club's La Masia academy in 2016. Żuk progressed well through Barcelona's youth ranks, racking up over 400 goals by the time he was eleven. He was seen as one of Barcelona's biggest young prospects. The 2018–19 CEV Champions League was the 60th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. GKS Katowice (; GKS stands for , "Miners Sporting Club") is a Polish football club based in Katowice, Poland. The club currently plays in the I liga, after having won promotion in 2021. History In 1963 in Katowice a special organizational committee was called with the purpose of uniting all the clubs and sporting organizations of the city into one large club which would encompass many disciplines. KPS Stocznia Szczecin – was a professional men's volleyball club based in Szczecin in northwestern Poland, founded in 2014 under the name Espadon Szczecin. The club used to compete in PlusLiga, having been promoted to the highest level of the Polish Volleyball League in 2016.
