2017–18 KNVB Cup
The 2017–18 KNVB Cup was the 100th edition of the Dutch national football annual knockout tournament for the KNVB Cup. 64 teams contested, beginning on 19 September 2017 with the first of six rounds and ending on 22 April 2018 at the final at De Kuip in Rotterdam. The defending champions were Vitesse from the Eredivisie, who beat AZ 2–0 in the final in the previous season on 30 April 2017. Vitesse automatically qualified for the third preliminary round of the 2018–19 edition of the UEFA Europa League. The also contested in the 2018 edition of the Johan Cruyff Shield, the Dutch Supercup match at the start of the following season between the Cup winner and the champions of the 2017–18 Eredivisie. De Kuip
Stadion Feijenoord (), more commonly known by its nickname De Kuip (, the Tub), is a stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was completed in 1937. The name is derived from the Feijenoord district in Rotterdam, and from the club with the same name (although the club's name was internationalised to Feyenoord in 1973). The stadium's original capacity was 64,000. In 1949, it was expanded to 69,000, and in 1994 it was converted to a 51,117-seat all-seater. In 1999, a significant amount of restoration and interior work took place at the stadium before its use as a venue in the UEFA Euro 2000 tournament, although capacity was largely unaffected. Johan Cruyff Shield
The Johan Cruyff Shield (, ) is a football trophy in the Netherlands named after Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff, also often referred to as the Dutch Super Cup. The winner is decided in one match only, played by the winner of the national football league, Eredivisie, and the winner of the national KNVB Cup. In the event of a team winning both the Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup, the Johan Cruyff Shield will be contested between that team and the runner up in the national league. The trophy The trophy is a silver plate with a 60-centimetre diameter. It is similar to the trophies received by the champions of the Eredivisie. Sportvereniging Spakenburg is a association football, football club based in Bunschoten, Bunschoten-Spakenburg, Netherlands, that competes in the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of the Dutch football league system. Aanhouden Doet Overwinnen 1920, simply known as ADO '20, is a Dutch association football club from Heemskerk. They are currently playing in the Dutch Tweede Divisie. The club was founded on 15 May 1920 as ''Aanhouden Doet Overwinnen 1920''. The home games are played at Sportpark de Vlotter. In February 2007, ADO '20 entered into a partnership with AZ Alkmaar in the field of youth development, knowledge exchange and scouting. RKSV Groene Ster is a Dutch association football, football club based in Heerlerheide. The club play its home games at Pronsebroek. The club colours, reflected in their crest, kit and name, are green and white. Voetbalvereniging Staphorst is a football club from Staphorst, Netherlands. They are currently competing in the fifth tier Vierde Divisie. History VV Staphorst was founded on 30 November 1959. In the National 2011–12 KNVB Cup Staphorst won first round 4–2 against RKSV Groene Ster. In the second round it played in Het Noorderslag against VV Montfoort in the second round.
