2017–18 FC Shirak Season
The 2017–18 season was Shirak's 27th consecutive season in the Armenian Premier League. Shirak finished the season in 4th place after they were deducted 12 points in May 2018 as it was alleged that Shirak's sporting director Ararat Harutyunyan had offered Edward Kpodo of Banants a bride to fix their upcoming match. Shirak were knocked out of the Armenian Cup by Gandzasar Kapan at the Semifinal stage and the Europa League by Gorica in the first qualifying round. FC Shirak
Football Club Shirak ( hy, Շիրակ Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ), commonly known as Shirak, is an Armenian professional sports club based in Gyumri. Shirak is known for its professional association football, football team which is one of the oldest football clubs in Armenia, having been created in 1958. The club is the only team that participated in all seasons of the Armenian Premier League since its creation in 1992 in Armenian football, 1992 until 2020–21 Armenian Premier League, 2021. Shirak is one of the more successful clubs in Armenia, having won a total of 11 domestic titles including four Armenian Premier League titles, two Armenian Independence Cup, Armenian Cup, and five Armenian Super Cup. Shirak has yet to qualify for an international tournament playoff round, yet frequently plays UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifying matches. FK Proleter Novi Sad
FK Proleter Novi Sad () is a defunct football club based in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia. They competed in the Serbian SuperLiga for four seasons between 2018 and 2022, before merging with RFK Novi Sad 1921. History Founded in 1951, the club won the Serbian League Vojvodina in the 2008–09 season and took promotion to the Serbian First League. They spent the following nine years in the second tier of Serbian football, before winning the title and earning promotion to the Serbian SuperLiga for the first time in their history.
