2017 TCR International Series Buriram Round
The 2017 TCR International Series Buriram round was the eighth round of the 2017 TCR International Series season. It took place on 3 September at the Chang International Circuit. Norbert Michelisz won the first race starting from third position and Aurélien Panis gained the second one, starting from pole position, both driving a Honda Civic Type-R TCR. Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, Gianni Morbidelli received +30 kg, Daniel Lloyd +20 kg and Maťo Homola +10 kg. While Norbert Michelisz will take his +20 kg of ballast carried over from the Hungaroring round. The Balance of Performance was also adjusted for this event, meaning the Audi RS3 LMS TCRs and Honda Civic Type-R TCRs was both given a -10 kg weight break. Chang International Circuit
The Buriram International Circuit (known as Chang International Circuit (ช้าง อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล เซอร์กิต) for commercial purposes, but listed by its non-commercial name because of alcohol restrictions in some countries) is a motorsport race track in Buriram, Buriram Province, Thailand. The circuit was opened in 2014. This is the first FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A circuit in Thailand. The track's primary corporate sponsor, Chang Beer, named the track as part of the sponsorship; however, because of laws regarding alcohol sponsorship in France and Qatar, the circuit uses the non-commercial name in FIM documentation. The 2017 TCR International Series Oschersleben round was the seventh round of the 2017 TCR International Series season. It took place on 9 July at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Gianni Morbidelli won both races starting from pole position in Race 1 and tenth position in Race 2, driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, Attila Tassi received +30 kg, Norbert Michelisz +20 kg and Pepe Oriola +10 kg. Kantadhee Kusiri (born 19 May 1993) is a Thai racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship. Having previously competed in the Thailand Super Series, Pro Racing Series and Thai Honda Jazz Cup amongst others. Racing career Kusiri began his career in 2009 in the Thai Honda Civic Racing Festival, he finished second in the championship standings that year. He switched to the Thai Honda Jazz Cup in 2010 and won the title that year. In 2011 he switched to the Pro Racing Series, winning the championship twice in 2011 and 2014. For 2012 he switched to the Thai Touring Car Series, finishing second in the championship that year. Pepe Oriola
Josep "Pepe" Oriola Vila (born 9 July 1994) is a Spanish racing driver. He became the youngest driver to race in the World Touring Car Championship when he competed in the 2011 season. Oriola is not only the youngest driver to start a WTCC race at the age of 16, he’s also the youngest to be on the podium and to have won a race. Feats he achieved in Brazil in 2011 and Morocco in 2013 respectively. W Racing Team (WRT) is a Belgian auto racing team founded in 2009 by engineer and former head of Volkswagen Motorsport René Verbist, racing driver Vincent Vosse, and entrepreneur Yves Weerts. Craft-Bamboo Racing is an auto racing team. It was founded in 2014 after the merger of Craft Racing from Hong Kong and Bamboo Engineering from the United Kingdom. James Nash (born 16 December 1985, in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire) is a British auto racing driver. On 16 October 2011 at the final round of the 2011 BTCC season he clinched the independents' championship.
