2017 Monza GP3 Series Round
The 2017 Monza GP3 Series round was the sixth round of the 2017 GP3 Series. It was held on 2 and 3 September 2017 at Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Monza, Italy. The race supported the 2017 Italian Grand Prix. Heavy rain forced the rescheduling of race 1 to the original spot of race 2, leaving no time for race 2 to take place. Classification Qualifying * Heavy rains forced the cancellation of qualifying. Nirei Fukuzumi was credited with pole position as he had set the fastest lap time during free practice. Autodromo Nazionale Monza
The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. With the exception of the 1980 running, the race has been hosted there since 1949. Built in the Royal Villa of Monza park in a woodland setting, the site has three tracks – the Grand Prix track, the Junior track, and a high speed oval track with steep bankings which was left unused for decades and had been decaying until it was restored in the 2010s. Alessio Lorandi (born 8 September 1998) is an Italian racing driver. Career Karting Lorandi began his racing career in karting in 2007. Lorandi won the Karting Federation Junior championship in 2013. He remained in karting until 2014. Formula 3 In 2015, Lorandi debuted in open-wheel racing, in European Formula 3 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. The following year, he switched to Carlin and claimed his maiden victory at the third race at Pau. Career Karting Jörg first began karting in 2007, partaking in numerous championships across Switzerland. Lower Formulae In 2011, Jörg graduated to single-seaters, competing in four races of Formula Abarth with Jenzer Motorsport, where he finished nineteenth in the European Championship and twenty second in the Italian. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series.
