2017 Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim Season
The 2017 Los Angeles Angels season was the 57th season of the Angels franchise and the 52nd in Anaheim (all of them at Angel Stadium). The Angels began the season on April 3 against the Oakland Athletics and finished the season on October 1 against the Seattle Mariners. They improved upon their record from last season, but still failed to make the playoffs for the third consecutive season, finishing 5 games behind the Minnesota Twins for the second wild card spot. Offseason and spring training In the first trade of the MLB offseason on November 3, 2016, the Angels acquired Cameron Maybin for Minor League pitcher Victor Alcantara. American League West
The American League West is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. The division has five teams as of the 2013 season, but had four teams from 1994 to 2012, and had as many as seven teams before the 1994 realignment. Luis Valbuena
Luis Adan Valbuena (November 30, 1985 – December 6, 2018) was a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder. He played eleven seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), from 2008 through 2018, for the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels. While primarily a third baseman, Valbuena also played second base and first base. He was killed alongside José Castillo in a 2018 car crash in Venezuela caused by bandits in an attempted robbery. Ben Daniel Revere (born May 3, 1988) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Washington Nationals, and Los Angeles Angels. Revere played baseball at Lexington Catholic High School, where he received several awards during his junior and senior seasons. Revere was selected in the first round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins and played in their farm system for three seasons before being called up to Major League Baseball in late 2010. Jett Adam Bandy (born March 26, 1990) is an American former professional baseball catcher. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels and Milwaukee Brewers. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, and Tampa Bay Rays. Kyle Keston McGowin (born November 27, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Charleston Dirty Birds of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Washington Nationals and in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) for the CTBC Brothers.
