2017 Arizona Wildcats Football Season
The 2017 Arizona Wildcats football team represented the University of Arizona during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season, 2017 season. The season was the Wildcats's 118th overall, 40th as a member of the Pac-12 Conference, seventh within the Pac-12 Pac-12 Conference#Current members, South Division, and the sixth and final year under head coach Rich Rodriguez. The team played their home games at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona for the 89th straight year. They finished the regular season with a 7–5, 5–4 in Pac-12 play to finish in third place in the South Division, making it into a bowl game. They were invited to the 2017 Foster Farms Bowl, Foster Farms Bowl where they faced 2017 Purdue Boilermakers football team, Purdue, losing 35–38. Rich Rodriguez
Richard Alan Rodriguez (; born May 24, 1963), also known as Rich Rod, is an American college football coach and former player. He is the current head football coach at West Virginia Mountaineers football, West Virginia University, his second stint with his alma mater. Rodriguez previously was the head football coach at Salem University, Glenville State College, the University of Michigan, the University of Arizona, and Jacksonville State University. In 2011, Rodriguez worked as an analyst for CBS Sports. Playing career A native of Grant Town, West Virginia, Rodriguez graduated from North Marion High School (West Virginia), North Marion High School in 1981 where he played four sports and was an all-state American football, football and basketball player. KOLD-TV (channel 13) is a television station in Tucson, Arizona, United States, affiliated with CBS. Tony Fields II (born June 18, 1999) is an American professional football linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL).
