2016–17 Toto Cup Al
The 2016–17 Toto Cup Al was the 32st season of the third-important football tournament in Israel since its introduction and the 11th tournament involving Israeli Premier League clubs only. The competition is held in two stages. First, fourteen Premier League teams were divided into three groups, five teams in groups A and B and four teams in group C, the teams playing against each other once. The best three teams from groups A and B and the best two teams from group C will advance to the quarter-finals, which will be played over two-legged ties. The Israel Toto Cup ( he, גביע הטוטו, ''Gvia Ha'Toto'') is an association football tournament that features clubs in the two highest divisions in Israel: the Israeli Premier League (Ligat ha'Al, Ligat Ha'Al), and the second division Liga Leumit. The HaMoshava Stadium ( he, אִצְטַדְיוֹן הַמוֹשָׁבָה), also known as Petah Tikva Stadium, is a football stadium in Petah Tikva, Israel. It was completed in 2011, and is used mainly for football matches and is home to both Hapoel Petah Tikva and Maccabi Petah Tikva, and it has been used as the temporary homeground of Sektzia Ness Ziona. The stadium also serves the Israel national football team for some select home matches since 2012. The stadium has an all-seated capacity of 11,500 with an option for further construction of 8,500 on the south and north stands, totaling 20,000 seats. Shlomi Yosef Azulay ( he, שלומי יוסף אזולאי; born 30 March 1990) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for F.C. Ashdod. Career Azulay began his career in the youth teams of Maccabi Haifa. In 2009, he joined Maccabi Haifa's senior team but was loaned to Hapoel Petah Tikva in 2010 before he could debut in Maccabi Haifa. The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals " away from home" wins.
