2016 USC Trojans Football Team
The 2016 USC Trojans football team represented the University of Southern California in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as part of the South Division of the Pac-12 Conference. They were led by head coach Clay Helton in his first full season after replacing Steve Sarkisian in the sixth game of the 2015 season. Clay Helton
Clay Charles Helton (born June 24, 1972) is an American college football coach and former player, who is currently the head coach at Georgia Southern Eagles football, Georgia Southern. He was previously the head coach of USC Trojans football, USC from 2015 to 2021. Helton has also been an assistant coach for Duke Blue Devils football, Duke, Houston Cougars football, Houston and Memphis Tigers football, Memphis. John Baxter (American Football)
John Baxter (born June 28, 1963) is an American football coach. He is currently the special teams coordinator at Fresno State University. He previously served as special teams coordinator at the University of Southern California. He is also the founder of the education company Academic Gameplan, and author of the 2013 book ''I Hate School: How a College Football Coach Has Inspired Students to Value Education and Become Lifelong Learners'' (). Tyson Helton
Tyson Helton (born June 20, 1977) is an American college football coach and former quarterback. He is the head football coach for Western Kentucky University, a position he has held since 2019. He played college football at Houston from 1996 to 1999. He previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Tennessee (2018), quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator at USC (2016–2017), offensive coordinator at Western Kentucky (2014–2015), and as an assistant at Cincinnati, UAB, Memphis, and Hawaii. Claude Neil Callaway (born November 15, 1955) is an American college football coach and former player who was most recently the offensive line coach for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL).
